LEAGUE OF ELECTRONIC MUSICAL URBAN ROBOTS AND THE HUMAN BEAT BOX ADAM MATTA!
Be prepared for a concert you´ve never ever been close to experience before!
LEMUR: League of Electronic Musical Robots presents a concert featuring an orchestra of robotic musical instruments, including the LEMUR GuitarBot and ModBots. The robots will play solo and then be joined by human beatboxer Adam Matta. Adam will perform his brand of vocal percussion and interact live with LEMUR’s instruments.
LEMUR, League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots, is a Brooklyn-based group of artists and technologists who create robotic musical instruments. Founded by Eric Singer in 2000, LEMUR creates exotic, sculptural musical instruments which integrate robotic technology.
Eric Singer is a musician, artist, engineer and programmer, and the founder and director of LEMUR: League of Electronic Musical Urban Robots. He has 20 years of experience in interactive performance, alternative instruments, robotics, music and graphics. He will discuss LEMUR’s history and work in creating musical robots (such as GuitarBot, ModBots and XyloBot) and other new electronic musical instruments (such as the Sonic Banana, Slink-o-tron and Slime-o-tron).
